Job Description
•Uses a web based system to handle online, telephone and written correspondences for the Prior Authorization Department.
• Responds to telephone inquiries, emails and written correspondence using standard scripting, procedures and letters
• Data Entry of written and communicated inquires into the online system
• Gathers information, researches/resolves inquiries and logs customer calls and correspondence
• Communicates appropriate options for resolution in a timely manner
• Informs customers about services available and assesses customer needs
• Effectively resolves assignments within specified timelines with attention to quality and detail
• Assists in the Prior Authorization Call Center Department to provide adequate phone coverage
• Focus on providing excellent customer service in all aspects of contact with providers, recipients and clients
• Follows all HIPAA and Security standards set forth by the company
