Position Name: Tester - Client/Server

Position Description:
This position is responsible for evaluating requirements for testing new or modified products and documentation prior to production release; designing, developing, creating, and executing test plans and cases based on software requirements and technical understanding of product architecture; executing various system, performance, integration, and ad-hoc tests according to approved test plans and testing schedule; troubleshooting, in conjunction with end users and development teams, on issues of reproducing, investigating and debugging software; generating defect reports for issues found during testing, and providing accurate testing status to project stakeholders; focusing on project quality issues, but also makes contributions beyond immediate assignments; possessing broad overall knowledge of business applications; working independently; managing multiple testing projects concurrently

Skills Required:

I am looking for an individual with a demonstrated leadership experience in IT Quality Assurance work with the ANSI X12 Electronic standard transactions and has worked across large implementation teams.
Support all test activities, enhance, develop and execute manual and automated test scripts, record and track software discrepancies.
Work with Project Stakeholders and IT to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance and quality.
Ensure that all domain knowledge and test cases are articulated and structured well to enable swift execution by any other member of the QA team.
Provide QA project overview to QA management and progress tracking using QA tool –Mercury Quality Center to enter, run and manage test cases, defects and report results.
Works closely with IT Development and the Business Analysts on requirement review and prompt follow-up on open questions.

Nice to have Skill:
Understanding of ANSI X12 5010 version
Experience knowledge of HIPAA 5010 Electronic standard transactions to support the analysis of current business processes and work with management to improve and implement enterprise solutions to ensure compliance with the regulatory mandate including client.
Evaluate and test new or modified software products and validate documentation prior to release.
Prepare, design, and execute test plans and cases (of moderate to high complexity) based on customer and software requirements and technical understanding of product architecture to attain quality software both economically and efficiently, including both new and existing feature regression tests.
Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.
Verify accuracy of test results and documents results.
Document defects in defect tracking system.
Perform re-tests to verify resolution of defects.
Reproduce, investigate, and debug software issues.
Develop and maintain project test deliverables in adherence to client-defined methodology.
Communicate updates to project team, project leads, supervisors, and managers as required.
Create and/or contribute to the development of System Test and Overall Test and Review plans
